Who would?

Posted: July 12, 2010 in Poetry

Who would have ever thought
That these withered vines
That hang so meanly down
Over the wooden fence
Could by some miracle produce flowers?

Who would have ever believed
That this deserted arid land
Of serpents, scorpions and thorns
Could, by some freak of nature,
Now be covered with lawns?

Who would have ever known
That this weakened love that rose
From the ruins and dust of past errors
Could burst forth into a lovely glow
That is now reflected by all mirrors?
